Ann Elliott, CEO of elliotts Agency, judged the ‘Best Marketing Campaign’ award at The Cateys Award 2016. Red’s True Barbecue came out on top for its ‘Hand of Red’ campaign, resulting in customers flocking to its new Liverpool site, whilst raising money for local homeless charity, the Whitechapel Centre.
Using innovative and traditional marketing initiatives, potential customers took part in an on-and off-line treasure hunt, using Google Maps to find £1,000 to be spent at Red’s True Barbecue, hidden in 60 locations across Liverpool.
Upon redeeming the prize at the site, Red’s True Barbecue donated money to the local charity; which resulted in £3,024 being collected for Whitechapel.
Ann Elliott, CEO of elliotts agency, said:
“This was a brilliantly executed, creative and innovative campaign, which delivered against its objectives. It will provide an outstanding lesson for current and future marketeers.”
