Account Manager, Research & Insight

The Company

Elliotts is one of the UK’s leading integrated agencies dedicated to the Leisure, Hospitality and Tourism sectors, with research and insight one of the agency’s critical functions, alongside PR and marketing.

We have a strong portfolio of clients stretching from independent restauranteurs to major national chains. We have a solid reputation in PR, research, insights and strategy based marketing, with a considerable growth plan.

The Role

Managing analysis and research

  • Respond to briefs received: to include developing research frameworks, overseeing the project’s day-to-day management/ execution and then writing/delivering a debrief of results, conclusions and recommendations
  • Be instrumental in the research process: using internal (and external) resources, such as desktop research and focus groups, interviews, site visits and commercial data to achieve the aims of the project
  • Create online surveys: building them so they work effectively and provide the right information needed for the project
  • Be a go-to for intel for our own team and their clients: controlling an insight databank of secondary and elliotts own research which will help understanding of our clients and their customers
  • Facilitate research in tandem with the Account Director

Building relationships with clients

  • Lead project management: developing timelines for research and ensuring all projects run to schedule and to budget
  • Deliver results: ensuring elliotts delivers the results expected by clients
  • Be great to work with: communicating effectively and efficiently with clients to ensure they are up to speed and informed all the time
  • Do great work: ensuring clients want (and do) recommend elliotts to others

Managing projects

  • Ensure all client projects run to time and deliver client expectations
  • Arrange relevant focus groups, facilitations, meetings and any interviews for the client throughout the project.
  • Work with the rest of the I&R team: handling specific project tasks and managing smaller project in entirety, including the responsibility of delivering to costs and timescales.

Commercial

  • Manage the commercials for the I&R team: raise POs and provide briefs to partners
  • Collating costs associated with project and compiling invoices

The Ideal Person

Required

  • Exceptional numeracy skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, advanced in Excel
  • Great communication skills – writing, speaking and presenting. Skilled report-writer
  • Expertise in quantitative research
  • Sound project management skills, experience of being client or stakeholder facing
  • Able to work to budgets and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and pride in turning research into actionable insight

Advantageous

  • 3 years+ agency experience within an insights role
  • Relevant qualification in insights, research
  • Experience of statistical/data-visualisation/ business intelligence tools (i,e SPSS, Tableau)
  • Experience of facilitating primary research: focus groups etc
  • Attuned to modern research techniques: communities research, pulse panels and maybe something even we haven’t heard of!
