CHALLENGE: To build brand awareness in hospitality and technology trade media with an aim to drive leads from multi-site operators and grow awareness of the different Flypay technologies. Flypay operates in an ever more competitive market space and needed to get their brand recognised as a market leader by all major operators as quickly as possible. Maximum coverage in both technology and hospitality trade media was a must, with profile and insight pieces being required to ensure a continuous stream of coverage for the Flypay brand.
APPROACH: Distributing pro-active stories of business success and feature comment opportunities, elliotts utilised an extensive network in the hospitality sector to ensure Flypay was featured in all major outlets including Propel, The Publican Morning Advertiser, The Caterer and Peach Report.
Feeding stories into technology press to spread coverage into the public domain alongside efforts to build a reputation in client focussed trade media. Contributing insightful thought leadership and opinion pieces from Flypay and their CEO, leading to Flypay being recognised as an insight leader in the area of mobile payment technology and digital hospitality trends as a whole.
Supporting press office activity with advertising to further push coverage.
RESULTS: In the first six months of working together we generated 218 pieces of coverage across hospitality and technology media including interviews, insights pieces, features and news stories. With a total reach of over 40 million, coverage was picked up with unprecedented success around the globe.
Following this success we have continued to work with Flypay in both an agency capacity and as a collaborative partner, speaking together at industry events and running a workshop at the European Food Service Summit in Zurich.
